In my novel The Miracle on 49th Street the main character, Molly, has lived her life without her father. Until she was older she had thought he had died in the military but resently her mom gave her notes telling her that her real father was Josh Cameron, an NBA superstar, her moms boyfriend in college, and her role model. Because of hearing this she goes to sneak into the Celtics practice to talk to him but when she talks to Josh he doesn't believe her.
I think next in the story Molly will try to find a way to talk to Josh again and convince him that he really is her father. I also think that if she does talk to him again that he will still not believe her no matter what she says. I think this story will be about the build up of Molly getting Josh to believe her and that at the end he will either rejected being her father or accept it
